Next Steps: Choices
Thinking positively during this unprecedented time will be critical for your physical, social and emotional health. It’s easy to spiral into negative thoughts with so much uncertainty; fear and anxiety being consequences to the shelter in place order. Seeing the adjustments as a different rhythm of life just means we do things differently than usual. It means giving us opportunities to be creative, to test our abilities, learn new things, strengthening ourselves intrinsically rather than through external validation (athletes typically get admiration and glory extrinsically)! Seize this moment to redefine the new you, the new athlete, ready to face whatever comes your way! Just know staying positive, strong, engaged, and supportive is the play going forward!
Pivot your perspective - without an education you cannot move forward with your sport. Continue to push through your virtual education and don’t forget to stay active so that when the sport returns you’re physically and mentally fit.
United … We are in this together.
